Tucson’s Last Stand

Michelle Malkin caught this story:

The Sunday edition of the Washington Post featured a massive, front-page article by Ann Gerhart decrying the “incivility” of conservatives. “The nation’s political discourse seems sour, angry, even dangerous,” Gerhart frets.

Saturday last, in Tucson Arizona, the Tucson Tea Party sponsored one of the largest political rallies in Arizona’s history. Aptly called “Tucson’s Last Stand”, more than 6000 men, women and children attended the rally to listen to speakers including James T. Harris,  Barry Goldwater Jr.,  former congressman J.D. Hayworth and keynote speaker, Judge Andrew Napolitano.

In contrast to Ms. Gerhart’s fallacious portrayal of recent events, let me present this video.  One picture (or video) is worth one thousand words.

Did you happen to catch the “sour, angry, even dangerous” mob?  I must have missed it somewhere.  Maybe it was between the Prayer and the National Anthem.

This video (with the great Bon Jovi soundtrack) definitely stirred some emotions in this writer.  I have to admit to all, “For the first time in my adult life I am proud of my country because it feels like hope is finally making a comeback”.  Sorry Michelle, it just sounds better in my story.

We are all deeply indebted to the Tucson Tea Party and to BringIt2TheMax.

I’m sure these 6000+ patriots will be judged the same way as all the rest. Keep going Democrats and MSM.
