I just knew this would be a great story

Written By: PT on February 23, 2012 2 Comments

The Arizona Daily Star ran an article titled, “House OKs Bible course in schools“.  I wasn’t so much interested in the article itself, but I knew the comment section would be all aglow with loving comments of tolerance and understanding from those who follow the “new tone of civility“.   I was not disappointed.

Warning:  After reading this, you might want to run right out and get one of those “Coexist” bumper stickers.

You cannot teach ethnic studies or political beliefs, but you can teach the Bible. When did the Taliban take over the Arizona State Legislature?
I’m OK with it as long as they treat the bible for what it is: A compilation of middle eastern mythologies.
It’s okay by me to teach students about the Bible’s influence from a historical perspective. So long as they also include all of the wars, prejudice and things like witch hunts that have occured because of bible interpretations.
We as a society must expunge the taint of miserable superstition from all aspects of the public life and culture. Religion Is a malingering product of a privative version of the human race. True social progress can only be made when the albatross of faith can be completely extricated from all aspects of society. Reason is the only hope for humanity.
Should not the Bible be a banned book in our public schools? It promotes violence, rape, revenge, murder, pillage, plunder, slavery, child abuse, the killing of unborn children and human sacrifice? What kinds of role modeling are we doing for our children?
So long as we teach how the Bible has been used to subrogate masses of people throughout the Western culture, then I am all for it.
Religion should be a controlled substance, like the other opiates.
If I wanted to live in a county where religion runs the government, I would move to Iran.

Atheists, AKA, FREE THINKER’S, must sue over this blatant attempt to integrate cults/sects into our government and it is time to take away the “tax exempt status” of these sects/cults and tax them like the BUSINESS’S that they are.

This is NOT “separation of church and state” and I am OFFENDED that they want to teach children the “lets pretend, lets make believe” FICTION of certain cults/sects instead of factual history.

If they are going to teach cults/sects “hocus pocus” B.S. then they must teach ALL religious cults/sects versions of religious history or they are being discriminatory.

It is time for the repulsivcain politicians to STOP FORCING their own personal lets pretend, lets make believe opinions on “we the people”.

Cults/sects have murdered more people because of worshiping false gods then all of the murders committed by other people with mental problems.

Aren’t ya just feeling the love from those “more tolerant from you and me?  Let’s all light a candle for world peace and sing Kum-Bi-Ya……

seems like the Bible being “shoved” on us is a horrible thing, but having atheism or agnostic shoved on us is ok? why is the immoral ok to have as a standard, but the moral is wrong? I just don’t get it

Why are people so worried about Morals? here the Government is “reccomending” that boys now get the vaccine, (hiv) and it has been reccommended for girls (11-16 ys old) to get this shot , for almost 5 yrs now,…. Maybe if the Bible were in the classroom, we wouldn’t need to protect ourselves from,…???
